Decrease your stress Outdoors!

How to decrease your stress by going outdoors

Want to learn how to decrease your stress by going outdoors?

I just read this interesting article about the health benefits of being outside. Within the very first lines, the author wrote about a new report released by the British University claiming that exposure to outdoor green environments reduces the chance of type II diabetes, heart disease, premature death, and high blood pressure. In this report, it even indicated a reduction in stress-related conditions.

But, it’s hard to step away from my computer?

Now, I am no doctor but I truly agree that there are huge health benefits from going outside more often. I remember the brief escape I would get from my job, just by simply stepping away from my desk and going outside for a walk or feel the sun on my face. What’s also sad is having a desk by the window, but not noticing it was raining.

Remember to take some time out in your day, even if its just 10 minutes, to breathe in the fresh air and look up at the clouds. The health benefits are astounding with countless studies proving that simply going for a walk outside increases your ‘feel good’ endorphins in the brain, therefore making you feel happier.

Why not create your own relaxation space at home?

But, if you just cannot simply step away from your desk, how about creating an outdoor relaxation space at your home. Outdoor Co a wide range of outdoor relaxation products to help you unwind and escape outdoors. Why not add a beautiful free-standing  hammock to your patio? Or choose a covered day bed for shade and serenity. Or experience the freedom in our swing chairs and pods (add a coffee and a book for pure indulgence of the senses).
